Vintage Bench Mark Rolox Viper Light Weight Model. Bench Mark was a division of Gerber Knives Mint in the Box. The 2.5" blade has swedge and thumb notch. The handle is black micarta. Unique opening by pushing the blade forward and out till it locks. This knife is in pristine mint condition with original sheath and box. Knife was designed by Blackie Collins.

Vintage Survival Bowie Knife by the late Blackie Collins. The 7.5" blade is hollow ground with a 4" partial double edge on top. The handle is hard theromo-plastic with storage in handle. OAL; 12.25". The knife has never been used and is in excellent condition with original military style sheath.

Smith & Wesson Texas Rangers Commemorative Bowie Knife Mint in wooden Box. The 5.75" blade is stamped (Texas Rangers 1823-1973) on one side and the S&W 1973 logo on the other side. The serial number TR18984 is stamped on the top spine of the blade. Beautiful grain handle with logo and brass fittings. OAL: 10". The knife is in mint condition with original walnut display box. Extremely rare Ruger Redhawk companion Bowie serial number 222. This knife was made by Blackie Collins the owner of Bench Mark Knives. Bench Mark was later bought by Gerber. I can't find my papers on this knife so I am going on memory. Around 1982 the American Historical Society came up with the scene on the blade which is from Corbin Park where old man Ruger was a member. The scene depicts a bore hunt, with Ruger emblems in real gold. As the story goes the East Coast bank would give one these knives to anyone who opened a 10,000.00 dollar savings account. If you owned a Ruger Redhawk they would match the serial number to the gun. The project was never sanctioned by Ruger and when the old man got wind of it he shut it down. I doubt if they made more than dozen as I have only seen 2 in 40 years and I bought the second one. Beside 10 grand was a lot in 1982. The specs are 8.5" s.s. mirror polish blade with etching in real gold. The handle is gorgeous rosewood accented with double brass guard and pommel. OAL: 13.5". The knife comes in an absolutely beautiful heavy duty solid wood display case with Bench Mark logo on the latch. This is a very well made display case with velvet inlay and is original to the knife. The knife and case are in mint condition with only some light tarnish on the brass which will polish up nicely. This really is a rare find if your a Bowie fan, Bench Mark fan, Blackie Collins fan, or Gerber fan they don't get any rarer.
