The knife is full tang construction. OAL: 7". Vaughn Neeley, Timberline survival knife in mint condition. The blade is marked 044SS VN-0711 on one side and Neeley logo on the other side.

Survival Hunter - Survival Skinner Blade Length 3-3/4 inches • Overall Length 7-3/4 inches • Bead Blast Finish on Blade Flats, Polished Hollow Ground Bevel • Black Micarta Removeable Scales, (hollowed out and packed with compass, snare wire, leader, a royal coachman fly, hooks, sinkers, etc.) • 440 C Blade is 3/16" steel, with full tapered tang, hardened to 58-60 RC. Beautiful Hand made sheath. The top of the blade of this knife has a roughing saw for making ideal wood tinder and the sheath includes the handle access tool and a magnesium flint for fire starting. If you have never seen this demonstrated, I must tell you it is pretty impressive. Vaughn can take the knife out of the sheath, pick up a block of wood, scrape tinder and have a nice flame going in 15 seconds. Vaughn, who is a former Green Beret (1968-1971), says this is the only knife he would ever need.
Vaughn Neeley survival lock-back folder with hidden compartment in handle. The 3" s.s. blade is hollow ground with a satin finish. Note-blade is hair shaving sharp. The handle scales are dark chocolate brown micarta with aluminum bolsters and s.s. back strap. The knife measures 7.25" open and only weighs about 4 oz. The knife comes with a unique sheath the has storage for the 2 allen wrenches which are used to remove the handle scales which are hollowed out for storage of survival supplies. This beauty has never been used and is almost mint with just some very light scratches on the bolsters from going in and out of the sheath. They are very hard to see and could easily be removed if desired.
