Vintage Gerber Bowie Knife U.S.A. #5978 Mint in the Box. The blade measures 9.5" ground from 1/4" stock with gray matte finish. The handle is rubber which feels kind of sticky for a great grip. Brass double guard and lanyard hole. OAL: 14.5". This beauty is in mint condition with original sheath and box. Very hard to find one of these were the blade hasn't darkened or rust on the metal parts of the sheath. The sheath is military style spring clip for quick deployment.
