Vintage De Leon Model A-1 Sub-Hilt Combat, Fighting Knife. I am proud to be selling this knife for my nephew who was with Special Forces in Afghanistan in 2004. He carried this knife and used it while he was there. Most use was cutting and opening boxes so its in excellent used condition. The knife has a 6" ATS-34 s.s. double edge blade. The handle is black micarta accented with nickel silver fittings, Skull Crusher, and lanyard hole. OAL; 11.25". The knife comes with the original leather sheath which has my nephew's initials carved on the backside. I could polish the nickel silver and blade to look mint but I would prefer to leave it as is since it was carried in the field of battle. PS the late DeLeon worked with Ralph Bone and was part owner of the company. He made about 70% of the Bone knives before he went out on his own. De Leon also served in Vietnam, and was awarded 3 medals.
