Description   Gorgeous Vintage Stag Skinner by the late John Howser. The hollow ground blade is D-2 carbon steel and measures 3.75" to the guard. The handle scales are drop dead gorgeous sambar stag with 4 old style pins that are rounded and polished. The knife has dovetail bolsters, a fine taper tang accented with red liners and a lined lanyard hole. OAL: 8". Fantastic craftsmanship. The knife has never been used and is near mint. John put his serial number and blade steel on one side of the blade and his name on the other side. The sheath is a real work of art in itself. John sold his first knife in 1974 and was a long time guild member. He was well known as one of the better slip joint folder makers.
