Rare integral boot knife by the late Jim Ence, Richfield Utah.  Art Invitational Knife maker and  considered one of the top 10 knife makers in the world in his prime. This rare integral boot knife has a 4" 440-c s.s. blade. The blade is flat ground with a very fine hand rub finish. The top swedge of the blade measures 2.75" and is not sharp the bottom of the blade is very sharp. The gorgeous ironwood scales are accented with escutcheon on both sides and 6 pins. One piece construction blade, double guard, and very fine taper tang make this one strong knife and very hard to make. Nickel silver wrapped leather sheath is marked ENCE on the belt/boot clip. The craftsmanship doesn't get any better and the knife and sheath are mint condition. OAL: 8.25".
