Description
Rare Massive one of a kind Bowie knife by John Nelson Cooper. This massive 9" blade was ground from 3/8" thick steel and is over 2" wide and 15" long. This massive hunk of knife weighs 3.8 lbs. This is by far the cleanest Cooper knife we have ever had the pleasure to offer. The grind is clean and crisp with some very light peppering around the logo and top spine otherwise like the day it was made very minty. A special oversize zipper pouch had to be ordered to fit the extra wide 5" double guard. The handle is brown grainy micarta accented with brass fittings. This knife looks like a cross between the 1830 Bowie and the Robert Abels Bowie. The Abels Bowie is the only knife in the Cooper catalog with a 3/8" think blade. The s curve guard on this knife looks like the Guard on the 1830 Bowie model. As close to mint condition as you will ever find. Zipper pouch included.
