Vintage 1987 Recon Tanto 13R by Cold Steel Made in the U.S.A. The 400 series stainless steel blade measures 5.25" and has a bead blast finish. The handle is rubber with  brass fittings that are also bead blasted. This knife is different from the rest with its unique dome top pommel. OAL: 11.25".  This knife is much rarer than the standard 13A version, as it was only made for about 1 or 2 years 1986-1987. This knife was no longer shown in the 1988 catalog. Also these 13R's were only available from matthews Cutlery in Dacator Ga. This knife came from an old dealers inventory and other than the brass oxidation the knife is in mint condition. The knife comes with the original black leather sheath which is marked Japan on the back which makes it even more interesting. Sheath is mint.
