Description

Extremely Rare Rigid USA Alamo Bowie made by Bill Duff in his knife shop. The massive 440-C s.s. blade measures 10 1/2" and is ground from 3/8" stock. The blade as a super bright mirror polish finish and Bill's double hollow grind. The gorgeous handle is deep rich desert ironwood with lots of character. The fittings and pins are brass. OAL: 17" weighs over 3 pounds. Bill was one of the 3 founders of Rigid knives and he made most of the early Rigid Alamo Bowie's. Bill went the extra mile on this one with the chrome like finish and ironwood scales. This knife is so rare when you figure that Rigid was making about 60 to 80 Bowie'e each year with serial numbers and this is the first one made by Bill that we have seen. Not many knife makers would even try and grind a double hollow grind let alone on such a huge knife but Bill does it so good it looks like machine made. If you collect Rigid's this would be the center piece for sure. This craftsmanship, fit and finish on this knife is perfect. The knife has been a safe queen for many years and is in mint condition. The knife comes with a premium zipper pouch.
