Lee Berg One of a Kind Damascus Bowie Knife. The blade on this custom Bowie is made from high contrast Cable damascus with a long, false edge along its back edge. The blade has an etched, meandering floral design running down both sides of the blade as well as a small etched design on the double tapered back edge where it joins the guard. The elliptical steel guard is accented with a Rope Design edge. The hand carved steel throat separates the handle from the guard. The handle is carved from an outstanding piece of Amboyna Burl and accented with natural colored purpleheart and ebony, trimmed with sterling silver spacers. The natural, high luster, oil finish on the handle was achieved by hours of hand rubbing with linseed oil. The handle and highly polished steel pommel plate is held in place with a steel, stylized acorn pommel nut. This is a very ornate, one of a kind Bowie that was entirely designed, etched and hand filed by Lee berg. Lee also does his own hardening and tempering, always one blade at a time. The blade measures around 9" and OAL: 14.5". Fantastic craftsmanship perfect fit and finish the knife is in mint condition and comes with a leather sheath.
