Description   Very Rare California Bowie by the late John Nelson Cooper. The massive 13.5" blade is 2 1/4" wide and 1/4" thick. The handle is a reddish brown micarta accented with brass fittings. OAL: 18 3/4". This is a very significant knife being the first model he designed and made when he moved to California. According to Cooper book 2 there were only 7 of these made and they had a 11 3/4" blade so this may be a one of a kind. I will include book 2 which has pictures and details of this model and all others as well. The knife has been soaked in oil and stored in a safe for most of its life so its as near mint as you will find. There is no sheath but I will include a premium zipper pouch for storage.
