Dick Gillenwater's property adjoined George Herron's who taught Dick to make knives many of which were made in George's shop in Aiken SC. Some folks referred to Dick as Dick Herron Gillenwater. This knife would make a really great addition to a George Herron Collection. I believe this style is one of George's skinner models. The blade measures 3.5" and has a super mirror polish finish. Great looking stag scales, Colby fasteners, and taper tang construction. 416 s.s. guard. The knife has # 011 on the tang.  Fantastic fit and finish knife is in near mint condition and comes with a premium form fit leather sheath.
