Vintage Hand Forged Musk Ox Horn Hunting Knife by Alaskan Knifemaker Dan Cahil. Dan Worked with Irwin Campbell of IRBI Knives of Alaska. The 4.5" hand forged blade is hollow ground with a satin finish. The handle is a large piece of Musk Ox horn said by many knife makers to be the rarest handle material in the world. The guard is a mix of nickel silver and copper and is brazed to the blade just like Irwin Campbell's knives where. OAL: 9.5". Dan's logo is DC in a shamrock. The knife has never been used and is near mint accept for some light pitting in the nickel silver guard that could be easily buffed out if desired. The knife comes with the original hand made leather sheath.
