COOPER SOLD COOPER RARE ELMER KEITH STYLE KNIFE SOLD JOHN NELSON COOPER
Vintage John Nelson Cooper Boot Knife with original sheath. The double edge blade measures 4.5". The handle is stacked micarta with white, brass, and black spacers. Brass double guard and pommel. OAL: 9.25". This beauty has never been used and in about as mint as you will find for a 40 year old knife. There is a picture of this in John Nelson Cooper book page 15 by Martin and Basch. The double stitch premium leather sheath is original to the knife with Cooper logo. Rare John Nelson Cooper Texas Skinner 1 of 4. The 5 1/2" blade is ground from 3/16" steel and is 1 3/4" wide. The handle is kind of yellow orange micarta accented with brass spacers and fittings. The handle is kind of interesting in that tapers down about 1/2 below the guard so the handle is not so thick. OAL: 10 3/4". This is one massive heavy knife but it feels great in the hand. The knife does not look like its been used but does have some light sheath scratches and some very light peppering here and there. The knife comes with a heavy duty hand made leather sheath with rivets. Note: According to Clif Lenderman this knife is called the "Texas Skinner" and Cooper only made 4 of them.
Special order one of a kind skinner by John Nelson Cooper from the Cardinal Collection. The blade measures 6" X 1/4" with file work and its razor sharp. The handle is brownish red micarta with a grainy brown spacer. The fittings are brass and its has a #2 hilt which you don't see on many of his knives. OAL: 11 5/8".  The knife has never been used and is near mint with just a few light carbon spots and an eagle claw that looks like a carbon spot. Just to the lower left of his logo is a small eagle claw. I am not sure if he was trying a new style logo or what but it adds an interesting touch and is not harmful to the knife or its value. As with all of the knives from this collection this is the cream of the crop. It would be hard to find a nicer example. Zipper pouch included no sheath. The logo dates this knife as being made between 1968 and 1978.

Rare One of a Kind Damascus Fighting Knife handmade by John Nelson Cooper. Massive 9.5" random pattern Damascus Blade 3/16" thick. The clip point blade is not sharp on top. The handle is the old discontinued Westinghouse ivory micarta with brown and brass spacers double guard and pommel. The large pommel has a flat bottom and the knife will stand on its own. OAL; 15.25". The knife looks like its been carried from the light scuffs on the handle. The knife is in excellent condition and comes with a handmade leather sheath. Damascus Cooper knives are very rare this is only the second one that I have ever seen. Vintage 1970's Massive Bowie Knife by the late
John Nelson Cooper. This knife looks like the model known as the "Cooper Bowie" but instead of the usual 8.5" blade this one is 10". Could be a one of a kind? The blade measure 10" by 1/4" and still has the original
finish. The handle is a brownish red micarta accented with brass spacers,

Rare Massive one of a kind Bowie knife by John Nelson Cooper. This massive 9" blade was ground from 3/8" thick steel and is over 2" wide and 15" long. This massive hunk of knife weighs 3.8 lbs. This is by far the cleanest Cooper knife we have ever had the pleasure to offer. The grind is clean and crisp with some very light peppering around the logo and top spine otherwise like the day it was made very minty. A special oversize zipper pouch had to be ordered to fit the extra wide 5" double guard. The handle is brown grainy micarta accented with brass fittings. This knife looks like a cross between the 1830 Bowie and the Robert Abels Bowie. The Abels Bowie is the only knife in the Cooper catalog with a 3/8" think blade. The s curve guard on this knife looks like the Guard on the 1830 Bowie model. As close to mint condition as you will ever find. Zipper pouch included.
