Rare Sheffield George Woodhead Dagger, Stiletto, Fighting Knife. The double edge blade measures 5 3/8". The handle is sheep horn accented with scalloped nickel silver guard, raised brass pins, long escutcheon plate, and full tang construction. OAL: 9 7/8". The handle was chipped in a couple of places and expertly repaired. Red leather veneer sheath with gold embossing and frog intact silver plated throat aftnd tip. Very hard to find a knife like this over 150 years old in this good of condition. And almost impossible to find one with the sheath in this original condition.
