Cooper rare massive experimental Bowie knife. The massive blade measures 12 1/2" and was ground from 3/16" stock. The blade is hollow ground and measures 3" at its widest point. The handle is brown grainy micarta accented with brass spacers. The pommel is aluminum and the guard is steel. OAL: 18 3/4". Clif Linderman the owner of Copper Knives said that he and Jody Samson made only a few of these knives. He stated that they wanted to try steel guards. They decided to name the knife "BOWKRI" as in Bowie & Kukri. The knife has never been used and is in excellent condition. The steel guard has some surface pitting mostly on the back side. The blade has a couple minor carbon spots. The rest of the knife is very clean. This knife would make a great addition to any collection especially a John Nelson Cooper collection. The knife comes with a custom handmade leather with bear paw prints.
